Rcăm Yđa Niel, an Êđê ethnic minority child, was born with a congenital deformity causing her left foot to turn inward, making it extremely difficult for her to walk. When her parents learned about her condition, they took her to the provincial hospital. However, due to financial hardship, the family could not afford the cost of surgery and had to bring her home, even though doctors had recommended transferring her to Ho Chi Minh City for further treatment.
Yđa currently lives with her parents and older sister in Ea H’leo District, Đắk Lắk Province. The whole family depends on a small coffee garden for a living, which barely covers their daily expenses.
Fortunately, with support from the Dak Lak Compassionate Hearts Association and The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund, Yđa was able to have a medical examination in October 2024. Doctors have scheduled her surgery for June 2025, during the summer break, to make it easier for her treatment and recovery.
Rcăm Yđa Niel – Hoping for a Summer of Steady Steps
Now, her family is earnestly seeking support from kind-hearted donors to help Yđa undergo the necessary surgery — so she can walk steadily like her peers and move toward a brighter future.
Note:
The total estimated cost is based on the initial treatment plan provided by the doctor.
The cost may be adjusted following follow-up examinations.
At the end of the treatment process, the final amount will be updated and verified with official medical documents from the hospital treating the child.
