Children's Disease Information

Tram is the youngest child in the family. From birth, she was diagnosed with vascular malformation in the upper left back of her body. In the early time, her parents took her for regular treatment in Ho Chi Minh City. Gradually, her father's family also had many seriously ill people. Since then, all of her father's income had been sent back to their hometown to take care of the family. Her dad's job is a building worker so he didn't live with Tram and her mother. Seeing the sick child and sick relatives, he became depressed and lived separately from the mother and daughter. Sometimes, he would visit and buy some candies for Tram.

Her mother was helped by a benefactor to live in the house. Accomodation is now not a concern, but to have money for medical treatment and living cost for the children. Her mother also does many things to make ends meet, such as selling rice, selling fruit, etc. During a selling trip, her mother had a serious accident. After that time, fearing that the two children would be helpless when their mother had a problem, her mother also found a safer job such as helper to easily take care of the children.

From the young age, the family took her to be treated at hospitals such as Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Gia Dinh People's Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City, but over the years there has been no progress. The fingers, arm and left back were swollen and painful. The baby's hand looked like a bunch of bananas and is difficult to hold. The disease not only affected her appearance but also caused pain for a 2-year-old girl for many years.

From 2021, the child was introduced to the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund. After 8 treatments from 2021 until now, the baby's arm seems to be normal, the hand can be grasped. The tumor in the left shoulder blade was treated and surgically removed. Although the baby's disease has improved a lot, it is not completely cured. The arms and hands are still swollen and painful. According to the doctor's prognosis, the baby needs 3 to 5 injections of sclerotherapy for better results and normal activities.
