Health and normalcy may seem simple and obvious to many, but for some children, like Lâm Tâm Như, these are privileges they struggle hard to achieve. For them, reaching the simple joys of childhood is a daily struggle.

In their small home in the rural depths of Hàm Thuận Bắc, Bình Thuận, seven years ago, Lâm Tâm Như was born in the loving arms of her family. But, as she grew, something unusual began to happen—her lips became increasingly swollen.

Her parents, heartbroken over her "strange disease," spent every penny they had to find treatment for her. Doctors diagnosed her with venous malformation in the cheek and lip area, causing lip hypertrophy. Despite all their efforts, the only treatment they could afford was in 2019, and her father’s job as a construction worker and her mother's small income from a tiny grocery store were not enough for more.

Now, her lips are enlarged, and her tiny body struggles even more. Doctors have determined that Tâm Như needs treatment with sclerotherapy. It is estimated that she will need 3-4 injections to achieve a proper result.

To give Tâm Như the chance to grow up healthy like her friends, the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund is calling on the community to help raise 120,000,000 VND. This amount will cover the treatment costs for her vascular malformation.
