Baby Huỳnh Tấn Phúc, nearly 4 months old, was born prematurely at 34 weeks.
He is a lovely and cheerful baby, but unfortunately, at just 2 months old, he developed a high fever. When his family brought him to Children’s Hospital 2, doctors diagnosed him with severe pneumonia. Further tests revealed that he suffers from a congenital lung malformation – CCAM type II in the left lung – which causes breathing difficulties, frequent fevers, and requires him to be hospitalized repeatedly for medication and mechanical ventilation.
To completely treat the condition, doctors have recommended surgery to remove the affected lung lobe in early September.
Since Phúc’s birth, his mother has had to stop working to care for him. When his condition worsened, his father also had to take leave from work to alternate staying by his side in the hospital. With their modest and unstable income, the young couple struggles even more, now living with the maternal grandparents in a cramped rental room in Nhà Bè, Ho Chi Minh City – three generations crowded under one small roof.
When the doctors informed them of the upcoming surgery, the family felt utterly desperate. The surgery cost is far beyond their means, while they can barely afford milk for their baby each day. With all the love of parents, they only hope that little Phúc can soon undergo surgery, recover, and grow up healthy like other children.
We humbly appeal to kind benefactors to join hands in supporting Baby Phúc, so that he may have the chance to receive surgery. Your generosity and compassion are the greatest source of hope for his family at this critical moment.
Note:
The estimated total cost is based on the initial treatment plan provided by the doctor.
The cost may be adjusted after follow-up appointments.
Upon completion of the treatment process, the final cost will be accurately updated and substantiated by the medical records from the hospital where the children are receiving treatment.
