Bao Thien’s family consists of his parents and older sister, both of whom work at his elementary school—his father as a security guard and his mother as a janitor. When he was born, Thiên was as healthy as any other child, but at the age of 2, his right eyelid began to swell due to neurofibroma. Despite the family's efforts to take Thien to various doctors, no effective treatment was found. By the age of 8, the tumor had grown large, completely covering his right eye and severely affecting his vision. Additionally, he had a tumor on his right hip, and his legs were growing unevenly. Despite all this, Thien remained cheerful and optimistic. Thanks to the help of The Children Of Vietnam Charitable Fund, Thien underwent surgery to reduce the size of the tumor in November 2023.
Four months after the surgery, his condition has improved, but Thien still needs another operation to fully treat the condition. His family hopes that he will soon be completely healed and able to live a healthy life.
Note:
The estimated total cost is based on the initial treatment plan provided by the doctor.
The cost may be adjusted after follow-up appointments.
Upon completion of the treatment process, the final cost will be accurately updated and substantiated by the medical records from the hospital where the children are receiving treatment.
